Our Mātauranga Ake social and navigational service was established in 2020 to provide wrap around support services for whānau, because we believe the success of our tamariki starts with a resilient, stable and supportive home life. 

Our team works alongside pre-school aged tamariki and whānau in high priority areas within our communities. We provide guidance and support to remove barriers, linking whānau to services to meet their holistic needs. We have a strong focus on creating the foundations for educational engagement and positive outcomes. 

Our Tamariki Navigators strive to determine appropriate wellbeing and educational needs for tamariki, including wellbeing checks and supports.

The purpose of our Whānau Navigators is to provide support and assistance to whānau and tamariki who are currently in emergency housing. Whānau Navigators support clients with housing readiness, wellbeing coaching, budgeting and employment readiness.

Mātauranga Ake is in a growth and development phase, with a range of new roles available in our close-knit, whānau oriented team.
